Summary
ExpatDrive does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All study progress is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. We don't use cookies for tracking, don't require accounts, and don't sell or share your personal data. We do collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (no cookies, no individual-user tracking) to understand which pages are most useful.
What data is stored
ExpatDrive stores the following data locally in your browser:
- Practice exam scores and history
- Spaced repetition card scheduling data
- Vocabulary drill progress
This data never leaves your device. It is stored in your browser's localStorage and can be cleared at any time through the Progress page or by clearing your browser data.
Analytics and tracking
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any tracking tool that profiles individual users. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics service that records anonymous, aggregated page views and visitor counts. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not build a profile of you as an individual. See Vercel Web Analytics privacy.
Third-party services
ExpatDrive uses the following third-party services:
- Vercel — for hosting. Vercel processes standard HTTP request data (IP address, user agent) as part of serving the website. See Vercel's privacy policy.
- Vercel Web Analytics — for anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (page views, visitor counts). Cookie-free and does not track or profile individual users. See Vercel Web Analytics privacy.
Children's privacy
ExpatDrive does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The service is intended for adults preparing for driver's license exams.
